We serve families of patients ages 21 years or younger who are receiving treatment at Albany Medical Center and other Albany-based health care facilities. Patients are eligible to stay with their family if they are receiving outpatient treatment that requires them to be near the hospital. The severity of a patient’s illness and the distance between your home and the hospital are considered in allocating rooms. Preference is given to families who live at least 30 miles away.
Before being permitted to stay at the House, all prospective guests ages 18 and older must pass a sex offender registry check. Any prospective guest who has been convicted of a violent crime, sexual offense, domestic violence or child abuse will not be allowed to stay at the House.
Ronald McDonald House Albany will also conduct a wellness screening and may exclude individuals who have been exposed to or currently have an infectious or contagious disease.
